In my previous blog, I talked about the tendency to overanalyze signs from Hekate and how not everything holds divine meaning. But there is another side to this. What if you are not seeing any signs at all? I often see people wondering whether Hekate is trying to reach out to them or if She is even interested in them in the first place.

If you’ve recently found yourself interested in Hekate but haven’t received any grand, mystical signs, you might be feeling a little left out. It’s easy to start questioning your connection when you see countless people on social media sharing stories of how She called to them in dramatic ways. Maybe they had a vivid dream where Hekate appeared and spoke to them. Maybe they heard dogs barking at midnight or saw an owl swoop down in front of them. Some even claim to have encountered a black dog seemingly out of nowhere, staring into their soul as if delivering a message.

And then there’s you. No dreams, no dogs, no mysterious omens. Just curiosity and an unshakable feeling that Hekate is important to you, even if She hasn’t made Her presence obvious.

So, does that mean She isn’t calling you? Not at all.

First, it’s important to remember that personal experiences are just that, personal. I’m not saying people are making things up, and I’m not here to tell you to dismiss their stories entirely. But I’ve been around long enough to see how easily things can get exaggerated, especially when people are actively looking for meaning in everything around them. A random dog barking could be just that, a dog barking. A dream could be shaped by whatever you’ve been thinking about lately. That doesn’t mean Hekate isn’t involved, but it also doesn’t mean you should feel left out if nothing similar has happened to you.

Even if Hekate is reaching out to all these people in the ways they claim, it doesn’t change the fact that your relationship with Her is yours alone. You don’t need to compare your experience to someone else’s to know whether She’s with you.

It’s also worth thinking about what truly matters in this relationship. If She had to send an undeniable sign to get your attention, would that really be more meaningful than you seeking Her out on your own? Imagine your grandmother, someone you love deeply. Would it mean more for her to have to call and ask why you haven’t reached out, or would it mean more if you picked up the phone first, just because you wanted to hear her voice? When you take that first step toward Hekate, when you open yourself to Her without needing a flashy invitation, that says something powerful about your devotion.

And here’s something I tell everyone who hesitates to start their practice because they weren’t “called” in some dramatic way. You are being called!

The fact that you’re interested in Hekate at all is a sign. The pull you feel toward Her is real, and it doesn’t need to be validated by dreams, animals, or supernatural experiences. You don’t need a sign to begin. You just need to take the first step.

So don’t wait for a sign. Don’t second-guess your path just because it doesn’t look like someone else’s. Hekate doesn’t need to summon you with flashing lights and eerie howls in the dark. She is already there, waiting for you to step forward. Your curiosity, your desire to know Her, is enough. Trust yourself. Trust that pull. If Hekate is in your heart, then She has already called you, and you are exactly where you need to be.
